The address of the venue is:
Wellington College
Byron Drive
Crowthorne
Berkshire
RG45 7PU

By Train:

We have a free minibus service between Wokingham Station and the college. We are now using Wokingham Station because there are many more trains stopping there, so it is quicker and easier to get to. If you plan not to use the minibus service, make sure to go to Crowthorne Station instead as you can walk to the college from there, although if you have lots of luggage we suggest you go to Wokingham.

The minibus will be running between the station and the venue between 3:30pm and 5:30pm on Friday 19th August, between 3:30pm and 5:30pm on Sunday 21st August, and between 1:30pm and 4pm on Friday 26th August. This minibus will not be running outside these times, so if you arrive late please call one of the taxi numbers below.

We will be giving the minibus driver a list of people to collect, so if you would like to use this service please let us knowby 20th July so we can put you on the list. The driver will stop the service when he has collected everyone on the list. If you are not on the list you may have to take a taxi.

To Wokingham Station

From London:

For direct trains go to London Waterloo Station (platform 19). It seems trains leave Waterloo every half and hour, but please check before you travel. The journey to Wokingham takes just over 1 hour. This seems to be the cheapest way to get there

You can also get a train from London Paddington Station (platform number depends on departure time), changing trains at Reading Station. Trains leave Paddington every 10-30 minutes and leave Reading every 10-20 minutes. This route seems to be about £5 more expensive than from Waterloo and takes about 1 hour.

From Heathrow Airport:

Please note: you have to book tickets in advance, as you cannot buy normal tickets at the station. From Heathrow Airport (Terminals 1, 2 & 3 - platform 2) get a train to Hayes & Harlington Station. From Hayes & Harlington get a train to Reading Station and a 3rd train from Reading to Wokingham Station. Trains leave Heathrow every 30 minutes, leave Hayes & Harlington every 30 minutes, and from Reading every 10-20 minutes. This journey takes up to 1 hour 30 minutes.

You can also get a train from Heathrow to London Paddington and follow instructions above from there, but it will be a little more expensive this way.

From Gatwick Airport:

There are direct trains from Gatwick Airport (platform 2) to Wokingham Station. The journey takes just ove r1 hour and trains leave Gatwick every 1 hour. You can also get a train from Gatwick to Redhill Station and from Redhill to Wokingham. This journey takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. These trains also leave Gatwick every 1 hour. Make sure you know which train you are on from Gatwick as every other train takes a different route.

From Stansted Airport:

This is a long journey with 2-3 changes of train. If you are coming to Stansted Airport please check ojp.nationalrail.co.uk before you book your flights.

From Luton Airport:

This is a long journey with 2-3 changes of train. If you are coming to Stansted Airport please check ojp.nationalrail.co.uk before you book your flights.

By Eurostar:

When you arrive in London, take an underground (tube) train to London Waterloo station and use the instructions above to get to Wokingham station

To Crowthorne (no minibus - you'll need to walk)

Go to London Paddington station and take a train to Reading station (25 minutes). At Reading station take a train to Crowthorne station (15 minutes). National Rail website indicates that you habe 8 minutes to change trains at Reading station. We have tried this and found that the Crowthorne train had left before our train got it. As there is only one train an hour to Crowthorne staion (more during the rush hour), we advise taking an earlier train from Paddington (these are at least every half hour) and giving yourself a 38 minute change time at Reading.

From Heathrow Airport:

Take a train from Terminal 5 to London Paddington station (20 minutes). At Paddington station take a train to Reading station (26 minutes). At Reading station take a train to Crowthorne station (14 minutes). Please see comments in the London to Crowthorne section above about waiting times.

From Gatwick Airport:

Take a train either to Guildford station (40 minutes) or to Redhill station (15 minutes). At Guildford station take a train to Crowthorne station (30 minutes), or from Redhill station to Crowthorne (1 hour 15 minutes).

From Stansted Airport:

This is a long journey with 2-3 changes of train. If you are coming to Stansted Airport please check ojp.nationalrail.co.uk before you book your flights.

From Luton Airport:

This is a long journey with 4 changes of train. If you are coming to Stansted Airport please check ojp.nationalrail.co.uk before you book your flights.

By Car

Do not use the college postcode in your SatNav as it will take you to a locked gate on the wrong side of the Wellington Estate. The best postcode to use is RG45 6DT which is in Fincham End Drive. The entrance to Wellington College (Byron Drive) is on the opposite side of the main road (Duke's Ride, B3348). Be warned: if you put this postcode into Google Maps it will show you a road on the other side of Crowthorne. Try streetmap, rac or theaa.

If you find yourself at Crowthorne Station turn right onto Dukes Ride, drive past shops and houses and take the 2nd right, which is Wellington College.

If you find yourself at the locked gate, turn round and go back to the main road (Sandhurst Road). At the mini roundabout turn left into Church Street, then bear left onto Waterloo Road, past the Waterloo Hotel to the end of the road. Turn left into Dukes Ride and then left at the main Wellington College entrance.

When you come through the college gates, drive straight to park in the main car park outside the school.

For 2 and 7 day stays: Leave your luggage in your car and walk through the arch in the main school building, across the courtyard and straight ahead is Great School. Here you will be registered and, if residential, shown to your bedroom.

For 5 day stay: Leave your luggage in your car. Walk to the front of the main school building (so your car will be behind you). Turn left so the college is on your right and walk along until you get to a walkway on the right with a glass roof. In there on the right you'll find the V&A cafe (with tables outside). Look for Angels with wings and halos, either outside or inside the cafe, who will register you and and show you to your accommodation.
