Accredited by the ONE Awards to Level 3 (of 'A' level complexity). It has a credit value of 9, which means there are approximately 90 hours of learning. These are a combination of tutored study, assignments and one to one reviews, over three residential weekends. The weekends are spread across 6 months to allow time for home study and completion of assignments.
As JWAAD is acknowledged as the leading training provider for the study of Belly Dance, we are working with the ONE Awards to increase the range of accredited certificates for dancers.
Those wishing to develop their teaching practice or considering beginning to teach. This course builds upon the content of the Safe Delivery of Belly Dance Classes, Understanding Music Used Within Belly Dance and The Influence of History and Culture Upon Belly Dance courses, synthesising a full and rounded range of background knowledge and teaching techniques. Participants in this course must therefore have achieved a dance technique level of Intermediate or above, and must first have completed the earlier three modules of the JWAAD Teaching Diploma.
